These Terms of Service govern your use of the ScreenCraft website and macOS application (the "Service"), operated by Codeaamy Private Limited ("Codeaamy", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. Account
You must provide accurate information when creating an account, keep your password secure, and notify us of any unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Service and the macOS application for the duration of your active subscription or one-time purchase entitlements. You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service
- Use the Service to violate any law or third-party right
- Attempt to access another user's account or data
3. Subscriptions and purchases
ScreenCraft offers monthly, yearly, and lifetime Pro plans, plus one-time consumable packs (export packs, AI credit packs). Pricing is displayed at the point of purchase in the currency that applies to your country (INR for purchases made in India, USD elsewhere).
- Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You can cancel from /account at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period.
- One-time purchases are non-recurring. Unused export credits and AI credits do not transfer to other accounts.
- Lifetime purchases grant access for as long as the Service operates; they do not entitle you to a refund if we discontinue the Service beyond the refund window described in the Refund Policy (14 days for Pro Yearly and Pro Lifetime; 3 days for Pro Monthly, Export Packs, and AI credit packs).
- Payments are processed by Paddle (Merchant of Record for international customers) or Razorpay (payment gateway used for customers in India, with Codeaamy Private Limited as the merchant of record). The processor is selected automatically at checkout based on your country.
4. AI features and BYOK
AI captions and gradient generation use third-party language models (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic). Output is generated and may be inaccurate or unsuitable; you are responsible for reviewing it before publishing.
If you enable Bring-Your-Own-Key (BYOK), the macOS application uses the API key you provide to call the chosen AI provider directly. You are solely responsible for the costs and terms of that provider relationship.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, including all software, templates, fonts, and designs we provide, is owned by us or our licensors. You retain ownership of screenshots, captions, and assets you create using the Service.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Generate illegal, infringing, or harmful content
- Impersonate others or misrepresent affiliation
- Disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access
7. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice when reasonably possible. On termination, unused subscription time and credits are forfeited unless required by law.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will meet your needs.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here and the "Last updated" date will reflect the change. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
