This Privacy Policy describes how Codeaamy Private Limited ("Codeaamy", "we", "us"), the operator of ScreenCraft, collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and macOS application (the "Service").
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. If you complete your profile, we also collect your full name, profession, and the number of apps you're designing for.
Payment information
Payments are processed by one of two providers, chosen automatically based on your country of purchase:
- Paddle — international customers. Paddle acts as our Merchant of Record and collects your billing details directly.
- Razorpay — customers in India. Razorpay is the payment gateway; Codeaamy Private Limited is the merchant of record for these transactions.
In either case, we never see or store your full payment card information. From the processor we receive and store: a customer ID, transaction or payment ID, plan/price ID, and high-level purchase status (success, refund, chargeback).
Usage information
We track export count, AI credit consumption, and subscription state to enforce plan limits and provide the Service. We do not log the contents of your screenshots, captions, or generated assets server-side; those live on your device.
Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)
If you opt into BYOK, the API key you provide is stored in your account row protected by row-level security. The macOS app reads it directly to call the AI provider you nominated; we don't proxy your AI traffic.
Cookies and local storage
We use functional cookies for authentication (Supabase session). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
2. How we use your information
- To provide and operate the Service
- To process payments and grant entitlements (Pro, credits, packs)
- To enforce plan limits and prevent abuse
- To respond to support requests
- To send service-related emails (account, billing, security)
3. Third-party services
We share data with the following service providers:
- Supabase — authentication, database, file storage.
- Paddle — payment processing, tax collection, and refunds for international customers (acts as Merchant of Record).
- Razorpay — payment gateway for customers in India. We send the order amount, currency, and a reference to your account (the user_id stored in
notes) so the resulting webhook can be matched back to your purchase. Razorpay handles the card / UPI / netbanking flow. - Vercel — website hosting.
- OpenAI / Anthropic / Google — AI providers used for caption and gradient generation. If you use BYOK, your prompts go directly to the provider you chose under your own account.
4. Data retention
We retain account and purchase data for as long as your account is active, plus up to 7 years for tax and accounting records (as required by law). Usage logs are kept for 90 days.
5. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email support@codeaamy.com and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also delete your account from the macOS app or by emailing us; this removes your profile, BYOK keys, and active sessions.
6. International transfers
We host data in the United States via Supabase and Vercel. By using the Service you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in the United States.
7. Security
We use HTTPS for all transport, row-level security to isolate user data in the database, and the principle of least privilege for internal access. No system is perfectly secure; if you suspect your account has been compromised, email us immediately.
8. Children
ScreenCraft is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We'll post any material changes here and update the "Last updated" date. Significant changes may also be emailed to active accounts.
